None of us are perfect, however, the Staff at Sterling Summerland certainly come close. I lived here for 2yrs when I first moved to Vegas 17yrs ago. I then returned a year and a half ago and this remains one of Vegas' premiere properties. A special shout out to Gabriella and Jasmine! They both have represented this property well. Their courteous and caring demeanor has truly made this home for my Family and I. Thanks to the Maintenance staff as well with their timely and efficient service. I would definitely recommend Sterling Summerland as a great place to live!
Sterling Summerland is located conveniently to shopping, schools, restaurants,etc. Office staff is attentive and helpful. Maintenance staff are very knowledgeable. Apartments are spacious and floor plans very nice.
A Noisy, Inconvenient, and Sloppily Maintained Experience
I had the opportunity to sublet a room in this apartment complex for 90 days, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Unfortunately, it wasn't the kind of experience I was hoping for when I moved in. Here's a breakdown of my time at this complex:
Parking Nightmare (★☆☆☆☆): The parking situation at this complex is nothing short of a disaster. With only one allocated parking spot per two-bedroom apartment, it's nearly impossible to find a space. Even worse, the one parking pass they provide for $50 is for unassigned parking, which means you may end up parking far from your own apartment. The lack of adequate guest parking was another pain point, as it was frustrating to see cars with passes occupying those spaces for extended periods. Even my roommate, who had a pass, often had to park on the other side of the complex. This parking situation reflects a lack of effort on the part of the management, and it's a significant drawback for residents.
Paper-Thin Walls (★☆☆☆☆): If you value privacy and peace and quiet, this place is not for you. The walls are so astonishingly thin that it felt like I was living in the same apartment as my noisy neighbors. I could hear everything - from their kids' morning screams to their conversations, and it was impossible to escape the constant noise. Even the person living above me, who enjoyed smoking cannabis, provided a soundtrack that I didn't sign up for. The sound was crystal clear, making it feel like I was in the same room with them. The lack of sound insulation in this apartment complex is a significant issue, and it severely impacted my overall experience.
Constant Outside Noise (★☆☆☆☆): The noise from outside was no better. The parking lot was a continuous hubbub of traffic and loud individuals, creating an unpleasant environment. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this complex is not the right place for you.
Sloppy Renovations and Low-Quality Craftsmanship (★☆☆☆☆): Adding to my disappointment was the utter disregard for craftsmanship displayed by the maintenance team regarding their "renovations." The work was hasty, sloppy, and done with low-grade materials, giving the apartment a cheap and messy appearance. It was clear that no attention to detail was given, and it further diminished the overall quality of the living space.
In summary, my 90-day stay in this apartment complex was far from pleasant. While some of my dissatisfaction wasn't directly related to the complex itself, the poor parking situation, thin walls, constant noise, and shoddy renovations made it easy for me to leave as soon as I could. I'm relieved that I didn't agree to go on the lease, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful, convenient, or well-maintained living experience.
This place is horrible. DO NOT MOVE HERE, there’s crime nonstop in this area and they don’t have cameras so be careful. Shootings, car break ins, the gate was broken and left open for a week so anybody can come through.
To this day, management still haven’t installed cameras. Security is completely useless and don’t do their job, all the crime that goes down happens at night and they’re NEVER around to do anything.
This complex also has a major bug problem especially for first floor residents. They also don’t know how to prioritize resident issues. Toilet’s completely flooded the apartment and it took them over a day to come in. In the meantime, furniture, clothing got ruined AND it was the same hours everyone’s water got shut off with NO WARNINGS whatsoever. Water shut off is a common occurrence here which shouldn’t be normalized.
Walls are so thin you can hear all kinds of banging noises from neighbors which can start to affect your sleep.
The rent prices dropped down for a reason, people are trying to move out.
Leasing office will lie and do anything to convince residents to move in. Stay away.

I'm 3 months in.I wasn't going to give a review, I thought I was being a brat, BUT IM NOT. NOT replacing THE carpet after each resident-is unsastifactory & disgusting! &&&&& After we just went through a PANDEMIC,I'm so disappointed. Maintenance & staff advised it's a NV state law,but as a business/property owner & as much as WE pay,owner could replace carpet! Finances,is the only reason I didn't move right out. Maintenance has been to my home 7xs since move in! A huge disappointment! Unless I see a video of Maintenance cleaning this unit, I wont believe it was professionally cleaned.The unit was NOT properly cleaned,the unit was not painted,walls/ceilings dirty.holes/damaged sliding door,no screen for over 1 month, toilet bowls-filthy,1 toilet was not properly secured to the floor,the putty/stucco looks as if a kindergartner did it,sinks falling apart, some sockets didn't work & maintenance advised: they don't replace units w new things,it's a old building!!! LIKE you all did know someone was going to move into the unit! Stray cats,GEICO'S/LIZARDS OUTSIDE of unit(asked for assistance, NONE,office personnel advised me to put fake lizards & moth balls outside)!!!.BIG DOG OWNERS:DO NOT CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR PETS,disgusting. Office personnel advised me to take a pix!! I'm not doing your & my job!! And to have a office personnel personally walk to my door & put a note on my door about removing Halloween decorations by 11/6,sent me!!
Hopefully, GOD Blesses to become a homeowner, BECAUSE THIS AINT IT! I've taken photos & documented EVERYTHING.
Put in work orders yesterday to find out not a single one was done. No warning from Yazmin about how to prepare for the work order at time of putting them in, I just cleared out the space beneath my sink so they can replace my garbage …

Horrible place Since Anisa left office. Management/Staff is very rude! People speed in & out of the complex with no citation. Their pool is closed practically all summer long, then wanna open it during fall/winter when they know damn well …
